Fruit of the Spirit | Prayer & Reflection

When we allow the Holy Spirit to work within us we should see a change in our lives. Our words and actions become deliberately moulded into something more Christ-like, and therefore pleasing to God as they glorify Him.

The Bible calls it the "fruit of the Spirit." The list of this fruit is found in Galatians 5. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Today as I was praying before the start of my shift today, that Scripture from Galatians was on my mind. During that time of prayer, this was the prayer that flowed.

“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” – 1 Peter 3:15 I believe Jesus is Who He says He is. In the Book of John, Jesus said that He is “the Way, the Truth, and the Life,” and I have reason to believe Him at His Word. Let's look at this in more detail. 1. What does Philippians 4:13 really mean?

We have all heard this part of Philippians being used by preachers: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Sadly, it is so often taken completely out of context that many of us (myself included) have not been hearing the truth of what Paul meant when he penned these words. This year I have been working my way through some phenomenal Bible teaching videos by David Pawson on YouTube.
