The Start of Something New

I first starting posting Christian encouragement on social media back in October 2014. Since then, I have shared something that could help others in their walk with the Lord Jesus every day. The ministry has grown to over 250,000 followers across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. So why have I decided to leave?

A few months ago I felt like what I was doing on social media was becoming a bit stale (not exactly 'fresh!') and I felt slightly uneasy about it. I decided to pray about it, and through the Holy Spirit, God gave me a vision.
God showed me two places to get food. A fast food restaurant in the middle of a busy place, and a quieter backstreet place to grab better quality food. I saw FreshFaith like a fast food restaurant. It was producing quick, easy food (content), without really being beneficial to the person receiving it. I saw that whilst it was still food, it wasn't what it should be. The quieter place on a backstreet would produce better quality food and be beneficial to the person consuming it. It was like a contrast between processed food and organic food or food that is bad for you vs food that is good for you.
Despite FreshFaith posting Bible verses across social media, it wasn't really going deeper into the Word, therefore not necessarily being beneficial to the person reading it. I could see FreshFaith shouting from the busy marketplace of the world, but being pulled towards a quieter, backstreet setting. Therefore people would need to leave the noisy marketplace to come and find it. (Does that make sense?!)

What I believe is that God is pulling this ministry away from the overcrowded marketplace of the world (social media) and people will now have to find it over in a quieter location. This time, the 'food' being served will be better - the content being better quality and more carefully put together - and providing a quieter place to fully go into God's Word with no distractions from the world!

I'm not saying everyone should leave social media, but I am hoping to create a space online where we can grow closer to the Lord Jesus, and becoming a stronger Body to be effective for God.

I nearly forgot to mention... If you scroll down @FreshFaith_ on Instagram, earlier on in 2019 I did a couple of posts called "Fresh Faith Food!" Looking back, I don't believe this is a coincidence! God is speaking.

Thank you for reading this.
God Bless,
Isaac.

  2. I honestly love this new move. I've also felt that social media has been a huge distraction. And what you said truly makes more sense to me than anything. How can anyone grow in the word by looking at bible verses here and there on Instagram? I'm not saying it's wrong, but it isn't really the type of meat God wants us to eat of everyday. I'm with you on this new move for 2020 ❣
